STUDENT RESEARCH CONFERENCE &
PROTOTYPE SHOWCASE

The MAKERS Program has joined the local NSF funded HBCU-UP and LSAMP Programs to organize an annual state-wide conference to disseminate best practices emerging from these three interrelated efforts. The resulting synergy from the collaborations has provided Scholars from the three programs with invaluable opportunities to network, present their research, and participate in a Graduate School Fair. In addition, all MAKERS clusters showcase and demonstrate their community-based STEM inventions to Conference participants. The Conference also hosts sessions focused on introducing students to literature searching and technical writing and preparing applications for the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP).

The joint Conference is held at Tuskegee University. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Conference was transitioned to an online experience for 2020 and 2021. Not even a Pandemic can slow-down our impressive Scholars!
